Carrie Wheeler is Opendoor’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. She oversees the Company’s leadership team, providing strategic direction and operational oversight for the business.

Carrie brings extensive experience in finance, real estate, and business operations. Before becoming CEO, she served as Opendoor’s Chief Financial Officer from 2020 to 2022. Prior to joining Opendoor, Carrie spent more than two decades at TPG Global, a leading private investment firm, where she was a partner and led investments in the consumer and retail sectors.

Carrie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Amit Arora is Opendoor’s Chief Investment Officer, responsible for driving growth, investments, operations, portfolio management, and strategy. He plays a pivotal role in shaping Opendoor’s pricing innovation roadmap and advancing the use of AI and machine learning to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Since joining Opendoor in 2016, Amit has held leadership roles across general management, business operations, and product management, contributing significantly to the Company’s evolution. Before Opendoor, he held financial roles at Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs.

Amit holds a B.A. in Economics and South Asian Studies from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Brad Bonney is Opendoor’s Head of Market Operations, where he leads customer success, city operations, and centralized business functions. He also serves as the Company’s Chief Transformation Officer, responsible for spearheading enterprise-wide efficiency initiatives.

Since joining Opendoor in 2017, Brad has taken on increasingly strategic roles, driving efforts to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and expand market coverage. Prior to Opendoor, Brad led trust and safety strategy and operations at Airbnb. He also served as a Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy.

Brad holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and Stanford University, respectively, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

David Corns

David Corns is Opendoor’s Chief Marketing Officer, leading the Company’s marketing and communications strategies to drive brand awareness, customer growth, and long-term loyalty.

David joined Opendoor in 2022, bringing over two decades of experience creating and scaling some of the world’s most iconic brands. Known for blending strategic insight with creative vision, his work has earned global acclaim for innovation and business effectiveness, with accolades from the Effies, Cannes Lions, and Clios. Before Opendoor, David held leadership roles at renowned agencies including R/GA, Venables Bell & Partners, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

David holds a B.A. with Honors in Photography from The Arts University Bournemouth in England.

Selim Freiha is Opendoor’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for guiding the Company’s financial strategy and leading a team focused on driving sustainable growth and advancing strategic priorities.

With decades of leadership experience at global tech and e-commerce companies, Selim is known for delivering results and creating value for customers and shareholders. Before joining Opendoor in 2024, he was Vice President at Alphabet, Inc., where he led Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and oversaw Finance for Google Commerce and Payments. Prior to that, Selim spent 17 years at eBay in key leadership roles, including Head of Corporate FP&A, CFO of eBay Markets, and VP of Investor Relations.

Selim holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis.

Amelia Generalis is Opendoor’s Chief People Officer, leading efforts to attract, develop, and promote top talent.

With over 25 years of experience working with Fortune 50 global brands and high-growth companies, Amelia has a proven track record in driving talent strategies. Before joining Opendoor in 2021, she was Chief People Officer at 8x8, where she redesigned the employee experience and managed key acquisitions. Amelia has also held executive and management roles at Model N, SuccessFactors (acquired by SAP), Anaplan, Electronic Arts, and Royal Dutch Shell.

Amelia holds a B.A. from the College of Charleston and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.

With over 20 years of experience, Shrisha has a proven track record of building cutting-edge digital platforms that solve real-world challenges. Before joining Opendoor in 2024, he was Chief Technology & Product Officer at LegalZoom. Prior to that, he spent over a decade at Intuit, where he played a key role in developing QuickBooks Self-Employed and QuickBooks Online—two of Intuit’s fastest-growing products.

Shrisha holds a B.E. in Information Sciences from Bangalore University in India and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Sydney Schaub is Opendoor’s Chief Legal Officer, leading the legal team in navigating complex regulatory and compliance challenges while setting new standards across the technology, real estate, and financial sectors.

Sydney brings extensive experience supporting high-growth companies across a range of industries. Before joining Opendoor in 2022, she served as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Gemini. She has also held executive legal and corporate development roles at Rent the Runway and Square.

Sydney holds a B.A. in English and an M.A. in English Literature from Stanford University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
